ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND EVENTS

The African American Theater Arts Troupe honors 30 years of outstanding theater performance and public service this February, 2021. The anniversary weekend of February 19-21 will be marked with three days of activities to thank all communities that have made this event possible. This consists of an Alumni Reunion, the Anniversary Gala, and the Black Theater Matters Workshop.

DAY 1: ALUMNI REUNION

Friday, February 19th
7:00-9:00 PM PST
This private, invitation-only event is hosted by African American Theater Arts Troupe alumni. Here, we will foster communication, networking, and an opportunity to share the impact the AATAT had on our lives. We want to provide space for generations to come together and celebrate its legacy by sharing stories and going down memory lane together.

DAY 2: ANNIVERSARY GALA

Saturday, February 20th

The public is invited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the African American Theater Arts Troupe at an online gala featuring national leaders of Black theater, playwrights, alumni, and representatives of the national Black Theater Network. Our theme, "Honoring Our Roots, Uplifting Black Voices," highlights the hardships of our past, and the accomplishments of our future.
